Genesis is due any minute and Jennifer not until the end of summer. But G found out about her sister-in-law’s pregnancy before she announced her own. They both had sent Christmas cards to declare the good news. J’s just arrived first. Too funny.

Amber is my grand-daughter and in my opinon, she is drop-dead gorgeous! Derrick is a very handsome man and gentle as a lamb. The pictures are beautyfly done!!
You learn a lot about a person by attending their wedding. There wasn’t a whole lot I needed to learn about Sarah since she’s one of my best friends but if I didn’t know her and Bob truly well (and I actually didn’t know Bob that well but what I mean is that if I was just the photographer and not a photographer slash guest) I would have learned that they are the kind of people who make and keep friends. They acquire friends through friends and friends of friends and family friends, and basically pick up friends wherever they go (and they are a well-traveled couple). In other words, they have a lot of really close friends and family. And it makes sense that these two actually met through a mutual friend. But the coolest part of all that friendship business is that their wedding was big but it felt like an intimate candlelit and really fun dinner party with friends. I hope you get the idea. (By the way, it was at the Green Building in Brooklyn which is a VERY cool space.)

2011 was an incredible year. I had a baby – an amazing little boy named Leo. My sister also gave birth to her adorable son, my best friend welcomed her second beautiful girl, and my sister-in-law had her third. Wow. During my pregnancy I met a group of awesome women – also pregnant – who have become great friends and whose babies are now little playmates for Leo. All of these families have been my gorgeous models, helping me launch the portrait side of my photography business. This blog post is a big THANK YOU to ALL of my clients, family, and friends who have supported me in 2011. I look forward to watching your families grow in the new year. xo, Siri
