A 20th century photojournalist named Robert Capa made me want to be a photographer because his images of wartime told a story. They were honest, compassionate and sometimes humorous and not because he staged them that way, but because that is life.
I approach photography with this in mind.
Other things about me…I love movies and I read a lot of contemporary fiction (or I did before I had a baby). I typically love things Scandinavian – music, design, films, bikes, the place itself. I really want to go to Vietnam. I am inspired by my grandparents. You can often find me out on a walk with my husband pushing our son in his bright orange stroller and carrying a coffee.
